On August 18th 2000 I was at the Museum 1939-1945 in Uithuizen. Softskin- and armoured military vehicles from a parabike up to and including a Sherman tank, restored to full running order, documents, photographs, models, uniforms, equipment, guns, utilities and telecommunicationsets are to be seen in this museum.

In previous days this museum was just a farm. Twenty years ago it was rebuild in what it is today: a very interesting historical museum with many Allied vehicles and some German vehicles from WW II. Outsite you can't believe your eyes seeing a MIG and many military vehicles from the Cold War.

Together with my 7 year old son David I walked through this museum. It is worth visiting. Not only WW II is the item. Outside you may find tanks and vehicles used during the Cold War by both East and West.
